CaseSync grades charts against your agency's CQI worksheets automatically. Reviewers then check the results, send findings to paramedics, and close the loop. This article covers the reviewer's side first, then the paramedic's.
For reviewers
Your worklist
Select QA Review Worklist in the top bar. A reviewer sees the charts assigned to them. A QA Lead sees the whole agency.
Filter by address, by where a finding stands (to review and assign, with the paramedic, responded, escalated or closed) and by assignee. Use Claim to take a chart, or Assign…, Reassign… and Release to move it.
QA Home gives you the counts at a glance: findings to review and assign, paramedic responses waiting on you, reviews overdue and charts that need matching.
Grading a chart
Open a chart from the worklist. The CQI worksheets (auto-graded) panel shows how the chart scored on each measure. You can override a score, add notes for the paramedic, and select Run re-grade now after the chart changes.
Sending a finding to a paramedic
- Open the finding and choose the paramedics it goes to.
- Choose how it resolves: Any one can resolve, or Each must respond.
- Add an optional note and a response due date.
- Select Assign to Paramedic.
Closing a finding
When the paramedic responds, open the finding. Under Close This Finding, choose Uphold, Retract or Override Close, then select Close Finding. You can attach a remediation plan, or Escalate to Medical Director instead.
Scorecards
Scorecards shows each paramedic's monthly report card: call volume, airway management, CQI compliance, medications, call times and case mix. Supervisors and leads can pick whose scorecard to view.
For paramedics
Responding to a finding
Open My QA Findings from Paramedic Home. Findings assigned to you stay there until your reviewer closes them.
Select Respond → and choose one:
- Acknowledge. You agree.
- Corrected/Revised. You fixed the chart.
- Provide Context. There's more to the story.
- Disagree. You think the finding is wrong.
Context and Disagree need at least 20 characters of explanation. Select Submit Response. You respond once, so say what you need to say.
Some findings ask you to grade a measure yourself as Met, Not met or Not applicable. Select Submit Grade when you're done.
Fixing the chart in your ePCR
If your agency sends you an amend request, the link opens a page listing the findings on that chart. It explains why each one fired and what the measure requires. Correct the chart in your ePCR and re-export it. A finding that the correction resolves closes on its own.
Dashboards
QA Leads, supervisors, Medical Directors and administrators can open Dashboards in the top bar.
- Select New dashboard and start from a template built for a common CQI workflow, or from a blank canvas.
- Select Edit to add widgets from the library and configure them. Changes save automatically.
- Export PDF saves a copy.
Call search and saved reports
Call search finds calls by what was charted: impressions, medications, procedures, times and more.
To keep a search, select Save as report. CaseSync saves the question, not the answers. Search text, addresses and freely typed codes aren't stored. When you run the report later, CaseSync asks you for them and then shows the results. That keeps patient details out of a saved report.
